Make a difference in YOUR association! Volunteer and serve on a committee or Task Force! Committees generally meet on a monthly basis.  A task force will meet as needed.

 

Finance - Reviews monthly financial reports of the Association and develops proposed annual budget for submission to the Board of Directors.

 

Governmental Affairs – Educates members on legislative activity; increases political awareness; serves local, state, and national governments through analysis and suggested action on important legislation.

 

MLS - Supervises the MLS service in accordance with approved rules and regulations and policies and procedures. Recommends rules and regulations changes to the Board of Directors.

 

TREPAC (TAR Political Action Committee) – This committee plans, promotes and coordinates fundraising activities through a variety of events held throughout the year.The TREPAC committee will also educates other members on the value of TREPAC and the importance of protecting private property rights.

 

Education – Evaluates CE classes and works with staff to offer a variety of educational opportunities. The committee will find speakers who are relevant to our industry and hold quarterly town hall meetings in different locations.

 

Public Relations – The PR Committee promotes the REALTOR® image in all cities throughout Nueces, Jim Wells and Live Oak Counties through the use of positive publicity in external communication mediums. 
                            

        The two task forces listed below are part of the PR Committee:

        BEARS on the Beat Task Force – Help to provide Teddy Bears to local police departments for distribution to children involved in difficult situations.

        Walk with Pride Task Force – Help raise money to give away shoes and school supplies to some of the neediest children within our jurisdiction.
